Cornelia E. “Connie” Guptill, 93, of Annandale died Friday, March 16, 2001 at the Annandale Care Center, Annandale.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with the Rev. Scott Jakel officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale.
She is survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Richard W., daughter, La Vonne Magnuson, six brothers and sisters, one great-grandson.
Cornelia Elizabeth “Connie” Guptill was born on October 31, 1907 in Hart to the late Andrew and Helena (Runge) Brand. She married Richard “Dick” Guptill III on September 21 1935 in Decorah, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1986. She lived in Annandale most of her life where she was a homemaker and along with her husband operated Dick Guptill’s Boats & Bait for over 50 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Clover Leaf Chapter # 128 (Formerly Vesta Chapter). She loved her family, grandchildren, yard work and gardening.
