Claudia Isabelle Seaberg, 89, of Red Wing, died on January 15, 2000 at her home.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 18 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Reverend Marian Eisenmann officiating. Burial followed at the Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing.
She is survived by her children, Peter (Judith) Seaberg of Annandale, Sharon (David) Guyott of Eagan, and Jeffrey (Barbara) Seaberg of Red Wing; eight grandchildren, Eric (Mary) Seaberg, Lisa Erskine, Craig (Nancy) Seaberg, Mark (Christine) Guyott, Michael (Debra) Seaberg, Ethan (Karen) Seaberg, Erin Seaberg, and Daniel Seaberg; three great-grandchildren, Meghan, Andrew and Laura Seaberg; and her beloved nieces and their husbands.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Marvin; her sister, Elva Burns; and her brother, Donald Fisher.
Claudia was born on October 23, 1910 in Red Wing, the daughter of John Alonzo and Florence Mabel (Peterson) Fisher. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1928, and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1931 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Nursing. She completed her training at Miller Hospital in St. Paul and worked as a private nurse until 1937. Claudia married Marvin Seaberg on July 24, 1937 in Red Wing. She continued her nursing career at the Hilleren Nursing Home in Red Wing City Hospital and the Minnesota State Training School, retiring in 1972. Marvin died January 2, 1989. Claudia was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
