■ The Annandale History Club will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, April 2, at the Senior Dining Site in Annandale City Hall. Ardis Hollermann will speak on the Kirsten family history. The Kirstens were pioneers in this area and helped establish the town of South Haven and the church that eventually become the Zion United Methodist. All are welcome to join for this interesting program.
■ The Annandale Improvement Club’s program for Thursday, April 5, will be ‘Explore Little Falls.’ The group will travel to Little Falls and tour the Charles A. Lindbergh home and museum, lunch and visit the Fishing Museum. The registration deadline has passed.
■ The South Haven Sportsmen’s Club will hold its 74th annual fish fry from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 6, at the South Haven Fire Hall. Everyone is invited to this annual rite of spring. Proceeds go to conservation projects.
■ The Annandale Area Good Friday Ecumenical Service will be held at noon on Friday, April 6, at Annandale United Methodist Church. All are welcome to attend the service sponsored by members of the Annandale Area Ministerial Association.
■ The Annandale Lions Club will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt for children at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Annandale Municipal Park. Watch the Advocate for more information.

■ The Annandale All-Night Graduation Party organization will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 9, at Annandale City Hall. ■ The Wellness on Wheels van will be at the Marketplace in Annandale from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. ■ The Annandale Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 16th annual Annandale Area Business Expo from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Annandale High School. Everyone is invited to this free event which includes a pancake breakfast (there is a charge), about 100 vendors, live music, demonstrations, children’s activities and more. ■ A ‘Kick Cancer’ benefit is planned from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Maple Lake VFW for Paul Stevenson, who is married to Shelly Wurm, a Maple Lake native. Stevenson was diagnosed with cancer of the liver in 2009. There will be a live band from 8 p.m. to midnight, a silent auction from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., kids games and cash bar. ■ The next Fare For All food distribution will be from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 21, at Annandale City Hall. Volunteers may help from 9 a.m. to noon. Fare For All is a monthly program that provides groceries to anyone for a reduced price. For more information contact Sandy Holthaus at 236-5604.
■ A benefit is planned for Saturday, April 21, at 4 p.m. at the Maple Lake VFW for its last active World War II "sweetheart" veterans, sisters Flossie Menth, 90, and Helen Doherty, 97. Flossie is battling lung cancer. Music and food will be available and a slideshow will be shown. Free will donations at the door go towards a monument to honor the sisters.
■ A benefit will be held for Mark Van Dorp Friday, April 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Classic Rides Center in Annandale. The event will feature wine and beer tasting, a gourmet buffet, silent auction and Black Jack table (a fundraiser for Mark.) Van Dorp is recovering from severe burns and is a patient at Miland E.
