TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Notice is hereby given that the Corinna Township Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment will convene on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, beginning at 7:00 PM at Corinna Town Hall, 9801 Ireland Ave, Annandale to conduct the following public hearing(s):
Any tabled items from previous meetings that have provided the required information.
Requests related to the construction of a four-season porch and open deck. Approvals required include a Variance to construct a 26′ x 18 four-season porch and a 176 sq ft open deck to the rear of an existing dwelling located approximately 90 feet from the centerline of a county road (min. 130 feet required). The Lake John Improvement District has contracted to treat Eurasian Water Milfoil, an Aquatic Invasive Species in Lake John in 2023.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has granted to the Lake John Improvement District a waiver of the requirement that the association obtain the signatures of approval of owners of lake-shore property. Instead, the Lake John Improvement District will notify property owners of the treatment through alternate forms. This notice is one form that the Lake John Improvement District is using to notify property owners. Other forms include but are not limited to notification through the association’s web page, member newsletter and annual meeting.
With regard to the treatment for this year, 2023:
1. The proposed date for treatment: October 1, 2023 through October 30, 2023
2. The target species for the treatment: Eurasian Water Milfoil
3. The method of control or product being used: EPA and MDA registered aquatic herbicides, such as but not limited to Florpyrauxifen-Benzyl.
4. How landowners may request that control not occur adjacent to the landowner’s property: If you desire that the treatment of Eurasian Water Milfoil not occur adjacent to your property, please notify the Lake John Improvement District immediately at the following address and email address below:
