Diedrick, Strege meet in District 1 race

Former mayor, deputy bring many qualifications

With incumbent Wright County District 1 Commissioner Christine Husom, Buffalo, not seeking re-election, that opened the door for a new commissioner in January. Annandale area resident and former Norwood-Young America Mayor Tina Diedrick and Wright County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Terry Strege, Buffalo, were the top vote-getters in the August Primary Election, with Diedrick capturing 1,054 votes and Strege 735. The two square off on Tuesday, Nov. 8, for the seat. District 1 includes Albion Township, Corinna Township, Southside Township, Chatham Township, Annandale, South Haven, Buffalo precincts 1, 2, 3 and 4, and Buffalo Township. The Advocate asked each candidate a series of questions, and their answers appear below.
