Vera M. Wurm

Vera M. Wurm, 91, of Annandale died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at the Annandale Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Sept. 6, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia as the Celebrant. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, Dennis and Susan of Lexington, Patrick and DeAnne of Rogers and Craig and Denise of Dayton; grandchildren, Randy, Doug, Jason, John, Tana, Kristina, Stacy and Tyler; great-grandson, Tyson; daughter-in-law, Linda Wurm of Nevis; sister-in-law, Marilyn Dearing; and brother-in-law, Roger Enos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Myrtle; husband, James; son, Gary; sisters, Vivian Langanki, Dorothy Knaeble, Elaine Murdock and Joy Enos; and brothers, Virgil, Cecil, Merle, Marvin and Alton Dearing.

Vera Margaret Wurm was born April 5, 1920, at her home in Annandale to Albert and Myrtle (Schmidt) Dearing. She grew up and raised her family in Annandale. For a short time, she lived in Crystal before retiring to Sugar Lake in 1982. On May 27, 1943, she was united in marriage to James John Wurm at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. Vera was a homemaker and worked for a number of years at Target in Crystal. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale, and a former member of the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal. Vera enjoyed spending time at the lake and with family and friends.
