Pearl R. Paumen

Pearl R. Paumen, 94, of Clearwater died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at the Annandale Care Center in Annandale.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 18, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater with Very Reverend Jacob Yali officiating. Burial at St. Luke’s Parish Cemetery, Clearwater. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.  Survivors include her son, Carlin Paumen and Carolyn Bolander of Chandler, Okla.; daughter, Jona Hale and her husband Robert of Stewartville; son-in-law, Roger Steinhaus of Clearwater; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband on March 28, 1983; son, Cameron “CB” Paumen on June 3, 2001; daughter, Sonja Steinhaus on Sept. 2, 2003; two brothers; and two sisters.  Pearl was born on Nov. 22, 1909, in South Haven to Ulysses and Rosa (Nelson) Foster. She married Joseph F. Paumen on Oct. 7, 1931, in Maple Lake. The couple farmed in the Clearwater area for many years. Pearl has been a resident of the Annandale Care Center since 1991. She was a member of St. Luke’s Parish and Christian Women.
