Carol M. Neumann

Carol M. Neumann, 93, of Annandale died Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital and is rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Visitation began at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale. Carol was born October 24, 1925, at home in Harris, Iowa to Edwin and May (Lorch) Groff. Following her high school graduation in Excelsior Township, Iowa, Carol attended Minneapolis Business College. She went to work at Harris Heating, Plumbing and Electrical in Minneapolis as the bookkeeper. On June 4, 1950, Carol was united in marriage to Herold Rudolph Neumann in Lake Park, Iowa. Upon their marriage, they made Minneapolis their home followed by other communities such as East Grand Forks, Minnesota, Des Moines, Iowa, Bethany, Missouri, Marshall, Minnesota, and Anoka, Minnesota before settling in Annandale in 1988. Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to many. She is survived by her husband, Herold; daughter, Joyce (Alan) Anderstrom of Roberts, Wisconsin; son-in-law, Doug (Marcia) Reichert of Chanhassen; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Stacy) Anderstrom, Timothy (Janice) Anderstrom, Michael (Tana) Anderstrom, Robert (Elaine) Anderstrom, Joseph Reichert and Jessica (Steve) Shaughnessy; and 12 great grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janet Reichert in 1996; and brothers, Herbert, Lloyd, Myrl, Albert and Leslie Groff. The casket bearers will be Jonathan, Timothy, Michael and Robert Anderstrom, Jessica Shaughnessy and Steve Shaughnessy. Rev. Ken Tatkenhorst will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
