Angela B. Paumen, age 96, of Maple Lake, died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Annandale Care Center in Annandale. A drive-through visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery on Hwy 55 in Maple Lake. Please remain in your vehicle during the drive-through visitation. Funeral Liturgy will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020 at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery, Maple Lake. Attendees at the graveside service are asked keep a distance of 10 feet between households or remain in their vehicles. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Angela Blanche Paumen was born July 15, 1923 on the family farm near Annandale to Carl and Mary (Schnieder) Dearing. She grew up in rural Annandale and graduated early from Annandale High School with the Class of 1940. Ang worked as a nanny in Edina for a year after graduation. Upon turning 18, she joined her sister, June, in Seattle, WA to join the WWII effort; they worked for Boeing doing their part as “Rosie the Riveters.” She moved back to the Twin Cities after the War to work. On August 16, 1949, Ang was united in marraige to Donald Jerome Paumen in Annandale. Together, they farmed and raised their four boys in Albion Township near Maple Lake. Angela was an active member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, quilting, crossword puzzles and playing cards. Ang had a passion for gardening and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Sue) of Maple Lake, Timothy (Mara Rei) of Silva, MO, Brian of Maple Lake, and Bradley (Esther) of Maple Lake; 17 grandchildren, Denver, Toban, Kyle, Candace, Tyrel, Clint, Tara, Jessica, Jamie, Andrea, Erik, Blake, Evan, Brynn, Brielle, Brock and Johnny; 21 great grandchildren; brother Wayne (Marilyn) Dearing of Annandale; and sisters-in-law, Edna Knobloch of Buffalo and Irene Dearing of Blaine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Dearing; husband, Donald Paumen; sister, June Love; and brother, Thomas Dearing. The casket bearers will be Erik Paumen, Evan Paumen, Blake Paumen, Brock Paumen, Todd Seidl, Candace Seidl, Denver Paumen and Toban Paumen. Deacon Ronald Freeman will officate at the Funeral Litrugy. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
