Michael Richard Picken of Hoonah, Alaska died unexpectedly on January 2, 2020. He was born on June 12, 1963 to Richard and Pamela (Wolfsteller) Picken in Buffalo, Minnesota. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 1:00 pm- 4:00 at the Annandale Pavilion, the interment will be a private family gathering. Mike loved beautiful Hoonah Alaska, and all it had to offer, the fishing, abundant berry picking and until his diabetes became too debilitating, riding snow machine in the back country. Mike play on many softball teams & hockey teams in Juneau, he was also an avid Vikings and NASCAR fan. He in high school he participated football, hockey, track. He built ice roads and was an ice road trucker in Northern Alaska. Mike is survived by his wife Deborah Picken of Hoonah, AK; his parents of Annandale; his daughters Ashley Picken, Heather (Josh) Johnson, Jessica Picken and grandchildren Leah, Rylee, Emilee, Olivia, Zoe, Jayden, Avery, Xander, Masyn and new baby Nancy all of Tucson, AZ. Stepson Allen Button and grandsons James and Jacob of Bellingham, WA, stepdaughter Emmaleen Lee, Jessie Wright, Whitney Parks and grandchildren Katlyann, Deborah, Hayden, Patsy and Richard of Juneau, AK; Siblings Stephanie (Scott) Pattison of Haines, AK, Brent (Jennifer) Picken of Columbia Heights, MN, Todd (Tina) Picken of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Eric (Melanie) Picken of Great Falls, MT. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceding in death by his little brother Timothy Joel, grandparents Charles and Edith Picken & Ervin and Harriet Wolfsteller.
