Deborah A. Jurgens

Deborah A. Jurgens, age 64, of South Haven, died suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at Hutchinson Health Hospital after she suffered an aortic dissection. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. David Milz will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Annandale. Deborah Ann Jurgens was born Dec. 26, 1957 in St. Cloud to James and Karen “Susie” (Nyren) Cleveland. She grew up and lived her entire life in the South Haven area. Debbie graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1975. She worked at Powder Ridge in Kimball, Camp Koinonia near South Haven, and was self employed as a gardener. Deb was a member of the Fairhaven Lions Club. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing, antiquing, deer hunting, fishing, animals, and being a grandma. Her favorite times in life were spent in the garden and with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Corinne Weyer-Bistodeau (Peter Bistodeau) of Buffalo, Crystal (Joe) Larson of Lake Preston, South Dakota, and Catherine (Jesse) Norman of Big Lake; grandchildren, Gunner, Gretta and Gillda Larson, Rosalie and Forest Norman, and Hayden Weyer; step-grandchildren, Paige, Chase and Carter Bistodeau; mother, Karen “Susie” Cleveland; sisters and brother, Diane Cleveland, Doris (Todd) Korsmo, and Jason (Kara) Cleveland; ex-husband, Robert Jurgens; boyfriend, John Erikson; step children, Tyra (Jason) Wentworth, Anna Erikson, Bjorn Erikson, and Erik Schmitz; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Cleveland; step-child, Karl Schmitz; and nephew, Ryan Laney. Debbie’s grandchildren will serve as urn bearers.
