Patty grew up in Maple Lake, along with her five siblings. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at St. Timothy Catholic Church, and graduated from Maple Lake High School with the Class of 1964. On Feb. 26, 1966, Patty was united in marriage to Donald J. Purcell at St. Timothy’s. They made their home in Maple Lake, where they also raised their two children. In addition to caring for the home, Patty also worked as a bookkeeper for over 30 years. As a devoted Catholic, Patty’s faith was the center of her life. She was a lifelong member of St. Timothy’s, where she was a sacristan, member of the CCW, and a member of the parishes school board. Every week Patty attended Adoration Chapel to grow her relationship with the Lord. She loved spending time with her family and was not one to miss one of her grandchildren’s events or activities. Patty will lovingly be remembered for being the first to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Don of Maple Lake; children, Chris Dalbec of Buffalo and Bill (Tracey) Purcell of Andover; four grandchildren, Paige (Austin) Gregg, Cody Dalbec, Taylor Purcell, and Sophia Purcell; siblings, Mary Worden of South Haven, Marge (Ted, Jr.) Latour, Bob (Michelle) Fobbe, Barb Menth, and Lori (Bob) Bruns, all of Maple Lake; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends.
