Morris “Morrie” Pribyl, age 73, of Buffalo passed away under hospice care at his home on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022 with his family at his side. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with visitation two hours prior to the service and a reception following. Rev. Tyler LaGrave will officiate. Morris Francis Pribyl was born on June 3, 1949, to Blanche (Smith) Pribyl and Romeo Pribyl at St. Cloud Hospital. Morrie was baptized and confirmed at Saint Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Morrie grew up in Maple Lake and graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1967. Throughout his childhood, he worked various jobs including working at the local service station and setting up bowling pins at the local bowling alley. After high school, Morrie pursued a career in welding. A couple years later, he began his lifetime career in concrete masonry, working for over 50 years as a mason. On April 28, 1984, Morrie married the love of his life, Rose Engelman, at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. Morrie and Rosie became parents to their firstborn son, Joshua, in 1993 and their youngest son, Joseph, in 1994. Throughout his life, Morrie enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, fishing, trapping, racing snowmobiles, woodworking, wood carving, gardening, collecting agates, and watching Western movies, Vikings football, and NASCAR. Most of all, Morrie enjoyed spending his time with Rosie and his boys. Morrie was a loving son, brother, husband, father, coworker, friend, and a man of God. Morrie is survived by his wife, Rosie of Buffalo; sons, Josh and Joe of Buffalo; brother, Mike of Thief River Falls; mother-in-law, Shirley Engelman of Annandale; sisters-in-law, Sandy Lambrecht of Maple Lake and Ev (Ron) Otto of Annandale; brother-in-law, Russ (Deb) of Annandale; and many nephews, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romeo and Blanche Pribyl; nephew and godson, Troy Pribyl; father-in-law, Harvey Engelman; and brother-in-law, Jon Lambrecht. Josh and Joe Pribyl will serve as urn bearers. Mike Pribyl, Russ Engelman and Ron Otto will serve as honorary urn bearers.
