Glen Arthur Zdrazil, 81, of Annandale and formerly of Winsted passed away peacefully following his battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Home in Howard Lake.
A Mass of Christian burial for Glen was held Tuesday, April 18, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted. The Celebrant for the mass was Father Paul Schumacher. Interment followed in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Winsted.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in memory of mom and Missy.
He is survived by special friend, Juanita Butterfass; children, Julie (John) Schlueter of Winsted and John (Daryce) Zdrazil of Cornville, Maine; grandchildren, Chris (Jennifer Kragenbring) Schlueter, Brad (Charity Sturges) Schlueter, Andrew, Phillip and Mathew Zdrazil; great-grandchildren, Joseph Schlueter, Mackenzie Sturges-Schlueter, Jaxon Sch-lueter, Kaylee and Elizabeth Constenius; in-laws, LeRoy Fasching of Brainerd, Melvin (Jeane) Fasching of Glencoe, Harold (Doris) Fasching of Hutchinson, Louis Fasching of Braham, Marcel (Bonnie) Fasching of Glencoe, Alberta Fiecke of Cold Spring, Elaine (Arnold) Marshall of Winsted, and Carolyn Fasching of Excelsior; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Florence Zdrazil; wife, Marion; granddaughter, Melissa; half brothers, Milan and Calvin Zdrazil; in-laws, Virgil Fasching, Lucille Meyers and Geraldine Mueller.
Glen was born the son of Joseph and Florence (Meinke) Zdrazil on Feb. 17, 1936, in Glen Lake. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War era. Glen was united in marriage to Marion (Fasching) on June 16, 1956. Glen, along with his wife Marion made their living as farmers near Winsted. Glen also worked for the Mid America Dairymen in Winsted, for a while doing both at the same time. In 1995, Glen sold the farm and moved to French Lake in Annandale.
Glen was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also the American Legion both of Winsted. For the past ten years Glen has made his home with Juanita Butterfass on the south side of French Lake. He also worked seasonally for Dahlco Seed in Cokato. Glen enjoyed sight-seeing, taking pictures of his ventures, going to polka dances and listening to the music. Glen enjoyed gatherings with family and friends and always loved a good laugh.
