David Peterson

David Oscar Peterson of Bloomington, Minn., passed away peacefully at home the way he wanted on October 22, 2025, at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by parents Oscar Peterson and Marie Pfeifer, sister Janet Triplett, nephew Kevin Triplett, niece Tanya Triplett, great nephews Jeremy Triplett and Dustin Hanson and great niece Lindsey Madla.

Dave is survived by his loving girlfriend of 32 years Laurie Rustick, sister Sharon Ottenstroer of Annandale, nephew Gregg (Candy) of Annandale, nephew Shane (Kristen) Triplett of Clearwater, niece Tammy Hawkinson (Don Kankelfitz) of Annandale, niece Debbie Jaynes (Brent), great nephew Justin Triplett, brother-in-law Glenn Triplett of Annandale and many dear friends.

Dave was a long-time resident of Annandale, graduating from Annandale High School class of 1962 and St. Cloud University in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and spent his career at General Mills and Farmers Home Group Insurance. Dave also served in the Army Reserve Company C at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Dave loved to travel and completed his personal mission to visit every US state in his lifetime. He loved baseball, football, golf, bowling and snowmobiling. In retirement he was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Blackjack at Mystic Lake Casino, win, lose or break even.

Dave’s battle with cancer is over and his stubborn independence will be sorely missed. We are truly grateful to the Allina Hospice team who cared for Dave so well; their dedication is authentic.

Please join the family in a celebration of life gathering Saturday, November 8, 2025, 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Southbrook Golf Course, 511 Morrison Ave. S, Annandale MN 320-274-2341.
