Sally Kay Mozingo

Sally Kay Mozingo, age 70, of Annandale, died Friday, January 16, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Alex Becker will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Sally Kay Dietz was born in Buffalo, Minn., on August 21, 1955, to Reinhold and Dorothy (Elfman) Dietz. Sally grew up in Annandale, and graduated from Annandale High School in 1973, embarking on a journey that would be defined by her love for family and willingness to lend a helping hand.

On December 27, 1986, Sally married Richard Earl Mozingo at St. John’s Lutheran Church. They made their home in Annandale. Throughout her life, Sally embodied the true essence of a caregiver. As a devoted homemaker, she found immense joy in baking, nurturing children, and helping others.

Sally is survived by her beloved sons, Cecil (Melanie) Mozingo of Eden Prairie, Sean (Kate) Bencker of St. Cloud, and Ken (Melissa) Bencker of South St. Paul; six grandchildren, Matthew, Carol, Megan, and Kaylee Bencker, and Lucy and Hugo Mozingo; siblings, Duane (Linda) Dietz of Annandale, Rose Steuck of Annandale, Gloria (Reed) Scheer of Howard Lake, and Teresa (Leo) McClanahan of Annandale; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Dorothy; husband, Richard; siblings, Janet Ardolf, Darlene Hicks, Carol Jacobson, and Betty Biggs; and nieces, Michele Ardolf and Brenda Hicks.

Tommy, Randy, and Nathan McClanahan, Timothy Scheer, Jon Frieler, and Trent and Christopher Hoopman will serve as casket bearers with Brice and Isaak Lies, Lucy and Hugo Mozingo, Matthew, Kaylee, Carol, and Megan Bencker, and Terry Steuck as honorary casket bearers. Pat Nelsen will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
