Oliver O. Lampi, 92, of Elk River passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 26, 2015, at his home.
Services have been completed.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Geraldine; daughters, Carol (Greg) Nomland and Dorene (Mike) Barthel; grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Rebecca, Daniel, Allison, Allan; great-grandchildren, Valerie, Robyn, Boe, and Jonas; many nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Oliver proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific in World War II aboard the destroyer escort, the U.S.S. Spangler, as an RM3/C (radio operator). He was a lifelong member of the American Legion and VFW. Oliver worked 40 years for United Power Association in Elk River.
