Former Cardinals star helps UST finish strong.

Hannah Spaulding’s collegiate basketball career stopped short just two victories away from an NCAA Division III championship. The former Annandale High School standout was one of the leaders for the Tommies for the 2018-19 season. St. Thomas reached the national semifinals before dropping a 71-60 decision to Bowdoin on Friday, March 15 in Salem, Virginia. For the season, Spaulding, a senior, averaged 17.9 points per game on 69.7 percent shooting from the field. She also averaged 10.1 rebounds and shot 69 percent from the free-throw line.
