Reporter The Maple Lake Lakers did not have any games last week due to rain, but the North Star League mid-season statistics list is out and the Lakers have a few names at the top of the league. Hunter Malachek leads the Lakers in NSL hitting (minimum 28 at-bats) with a .357 average while Mitch Wurm is hitting .343 and Donnie Mavencamp is hitting .308. Malachek also leads the league with two triples. The top pitcher for Maple Lake in NSL playing is Nick Preisinger who is sporting a 3-1 record with 10 strikeouts and a 1.67 ERA in 27 innings.
