The Maple Lake Lakers kept their season going with a big win over the Alexandria Black Sox Sunday morning. They advanced along with fellow North Star League team Buffalo, who won over the Fort Ripley Rebels, while Howard Lake saw their season end at the hands of the Watkins Clippers. The Lakers play the Bemidji Blue Ox Saturday, August 29, at 5 p.m. in Springfield.
