The Cardinal girls basketball team met some formidable competition last week. Their first matchup was on Monday night, Jan. 27, on the road against the Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers. Head Coach Matt Dreier knew going into the game that his girls would need to find defensive success in order to stop one of the best players in the conference–Mylea Monahan– and secure a win. GSL has a few other solid players that Dreier noted, but said his team should have been able to handle them.
