With 1:38 remaining in the second half, Colton Purcell sunk a floater to cut the Cardinals Boys Basketball team’s deficit to one, at 60-59, versus the Melrose Area Dutchmen. When the final buzzer sounded, the Cardinals players walked silently to the sideline for the postgame handshakes as the Dutchmen players celebrated in a huddle on their side of the court.
