Annandale has, in its own backyard, an internationally renowned researcher. Hank Balfour M.D. is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology and of Pediatrics, at the University of Minnesota. He founded the Clinical Virology Laboratory in 1972 and is the principal investigator of its International Center for Antiviral Research and Epidemiology.
