Regular Meeting of the School Board –
March 17, 2025 at 7:00 pm
1. Jones called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Board members present: Katie Jones, Jennifer Mealey, Gena Jacobson, Melissa Muehring-Paulson and Jenna Witherbee. Student Representatives: Mariah Klippenes and Jade Foss. Absent: Dillon Dougherty
4. Mealey moved to approve the agenda items. Jacobson seconded. Motion carried 5-0.

6. Community Comments/Concerns: One member of the community addressed the school board.
7. Mealey moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Muehring-Paulson seconded. Motion carried 5-0.

B. Jacobson moved to approve the Recognition of Student Qualifiers for State Competition List. Mealey seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
Congratulations to the following qualifiers for State BPA: Amy Zheng, Jaiden Peterson, Michael Lansing, Kate Neuman, Maddy Reiter, Avery Seagraves, Mariah Klippenes, Isabelle Dingmann, Bailey Sinnett, Kayla Jensen, Allison Neuman and Taber Stueven.
Congratulations to the following qualifiers for State Wrestling: Nathan Klatt, Cassen Brumm and Abby Gindele.
C. Muehring-Paulson moved to approve the Resolution Wright Technical Center’s Long-Term Facility Maintenance Program Budget and Authorizing the Inclusion of a Proportionate Share of those Projects in the District’s Application for Long-Term Facility Maintenance Revenue (roll call vote needed)
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Inspector
Mealey and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Muehring-Paulson, Mealey, Jacobson, Jones and Witherbee And the following voted against the same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

D. Mealey moved to approve the following 24-25 contracts. Witherbee seconded. Motion carried 5-0.

E. Mealey moved to approve the following 24-25 work assignments. Jacobson seconded. Motion carried 5-0.

F. Consider approval of the High School Track Bid:
1. Bid Tabulation
2. Muehring-Paulson moved to approve the Resolution Receiving Bids and Awarding Contract for Improvement of Track Resurfacing. Mealey seconded. Motion carried 5-0. Bid was awarded to Mid-Minnesota Hot Mix, Annandale, MN $350,500.
G. Mealey moved to approve and adopt the March Resolution Accepting Donations. Muehring-Paulson seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
H. Consider the second reading of the new policy: 209 Code of Ethics.
I. Mealey moved to approve three policies in the review cycle. Witherbee seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
10. Information Items
A. There will be a Work Session at the Annandale Elementary School on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 6:00 pm held in person in the media center.
Discussion between the board about the upcoming work session and work sessions in the future. It was decided that the April 14, 2025 Work Session will be cancelled.
B. The next monthly meeting will be at the Annandale Elementary School on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 7:00 pm held in person in the media center.
11. Mealey made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 pm. Jacobson seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
