Evidence found in Rossing search
Authorities are processing some unidentified evidence collected last week relating to the search for Christopher Rossing of Albion Township.
Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty reported that on Monday, Oct. 13, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located at 22164 150th St. in Hutchinson in connection to the Rossing case. Wright County was assisted by agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office. The search was completed on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Hagerty said that evidence believed to be connected to the disappearance of Rossing was collected from the property and sent to state and local labs for analysis, but that no further information will be released as to the nature of the evidence.
The investigation continues, and the sheriff’s office is requesting that anyone with information about the disappearance of Rossing, including suspicious activity at the Hutchinson address listed above on or after Friday Aug. 22, contact the sheriff’s office at 763-682-7637.
I-94 project complete in Monticello
Motorists traveling both directions of Interstate 94 through Monticello found smoother traffic flow beginning Wednesday, Oct. 15, as all lanes and ramps were open as of that date. The newly constructed lanes and ramps are part of the $17-million I-94 Monticello improvement project, which aimed to improve traffic flow, safety and efficiency on I-94 and local roads in Monticello. The project:
■ Reconstructed two miles of I-94 in Monticello.
■ Added a new auxiliary lane along westbound I-94 between County Road 18 and Highway 25.
■ Reconfigured the ramps and acceleration lane from Highway 25 to eastbound I-94.
■ Upgraded traffic signal systems at the County Road 18 and Highway 25 interchanges.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation wished to thank area motorists for their patience during the project.
