Head-on crash takes student’s life

A Buffalo High School student was killed Saturday night, Nov. 21, when his car and a pickup truck collided head-on in St. Michael.  Jonathon Kramnic, 17, of Brooklyn Center was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries, the Wright County Sheriff’s Department said.  Pickup driver Todd Lifto, 44, of St. Michael was taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.  The crash occurred about 6:25 p.m. on County Road 35 near Jamison Avenue when an eastbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Lifto and a westbound 1998 Toyota Camry driven by Kramnic collided, the sheriff’s department said.  There were no other occupants in either vehicle.   The sheriff’s department is investigating the crash.
