Holiday issues This is one of my favorite annual issues of the Advocate because the Annandale Elementary students help out with the production of the paper. They’ve been drawing our holiday greetings for more than 30 years now, and once again they are in excellent form. Third-grade students under the direction of art instructor Amanda Pawelski drew the greetings. They’re wonderful! In addition, all students had a chance at writing for this section. They answered various questions or completed a phrase. Thanks to the Annandale Elementary staff for helping us out once again and making this section terrific. Thanks also to all of the businesses that supported the section. We are fortunate to have so many businesses that help make this a great place to live. There are more than 50 businesses and organizations wishing you a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season. The section is a joy to look over and read. Kids have a lot to say. It’s Christmas, so I’ll insert Jesus in here for a few lines. I like what Jesus said about kids: that you have to become like a child … and he also said, let the children come to me.
