Action taken on many items

The Annandale City Council met Monday, Feb. 10, for its regular monthly meeting at the Annandale City Hall. Originally the meeting was scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3, but was moved due to a conflict.
A public hearing was held regarding proposed sewer and water rate increases the city of Annandale. There was no one present that wished to speak to the issue.
Shannon Sweeney from David Drown Associates is Annandale’s financial advisor and he was on hand at the meeting to answer questions.
Sweeney, along with the city staff has recommended a water rate increase of three percent so that a projected cash balance target of $300,000 would be achieved by 2025.
