Conventional journalism dictates that writing a newspaper article would follow the guidelines of who, what, why, when and where of the subject, filling in the story, and adding the details that hopefully gives it dimension and depending on the subject matter, some heart. It is also not encouraged to write in first person as it can make the story more of an editorial or opinion piece.
