Two injured in Highway 55 crash
Two Maple Lake residents were injured in a crash involving an Annandale man on Highway 55 just before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jolene Hannon, 48, of Maple Lake was heading east on Highway 55 when she stopped her 2003 Buick Park Avenue in order to make a left turn just west of Maple Lake. Hannon’s vehicle was then rear-ended by an eastbound 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 27-year-old Matthew Wuollet of Annandale. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the collision.
Hannon and her passenger, 10-year-old Erica Hannon, were both transported by ambulance to Buffalo Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Wuollet was not injured. All three motorists were wearing seatbelts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
