Eula Belle Lewerke, 81, formerly of Buffalo and currently of Annandale, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Evangelical Covenant Church, Buffalo, with Pastor Reid Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Swedish Mission Cemetery.
She is survived by children, Steve Lewerke of Annandale, Noreen (James) Buschel of Georgia, Donnie (Donna) Lewerke of St. Paul, Debbie Lewerke of Annandale and Danny Lewerke of Pequot Lakes; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joan (Roger) Lohse of Welcome; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Harm; son, Paul; daughter-in-law, Lonnie; parents; and brother and sister-in-law, Harry (Janice) Zufall.
She was born April 2, 1932, in Armstrong, Iowa, the daughter of Luverne and Helen (Wertz) Zufall. On May 6, 1949, Eula Zufall and Harm Lewerke were joined in holy marriage at Estherville, Iowa. God blessed their marriage with six children. Eula was formerly employed at The University of Minnesota, Texa Tonka, Buffalo Dry Cleaners, Wright County Human Services and at Minyards Deli. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed reading, crocheting and cooking. Eula was a former volunteer at Buffalo Community Center and belonged to the Evangelical Covenant Church in Buffalo. She enjoyed time spent in Irving, Texas.
