Gunnar Hansen

Gunnar Hansen, 76, of South Haven died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale, with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.  Gunnar is survived by his wife, Lucille; children, Jon-Erik of Oslo, Norway, Ann-Marie of Doka, Norway, Jeff of South Haven and Jason of South Haven; sister, Gruden; brother, Per; and five grandchildren.    He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Kenneth.  Odd Gunnar Hansen was born Sept. 28, 1932, in Skii, Norway, to Johannes and Marie Hansen.  He was raised in Norway and served in the Norwegian Merchant Marines.  In 1961, Gunnar moved to Minneapolis. On June 21, 1969, he married Lucille Bremer at the Zion United Methodist Church in South Haven. He owned and operated Hansen Construction; followed by Scandia Upholstery, which he owned and operated with his wife.  Gunnar was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale, where he was a former trustee and was a former member of the Waite Park Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards and being with his family.  Music: Julie Starke, organist, and Diane Ashwill, soloist.
