Andrew C. Carlson

Andrew Cornelius Carlson, 86, passed away on March 17, 2003 at the Annandale Care Center.   Services were held Friday, March 21 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with the Revs. David Doppenberg and Scott Jakel officiating. Interment at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.  Survived by his loving wife, Evelyn, brothers, Lawrence (Florentine), Ellsworth and Carl (Norma), sisters, Genevieve (Gordon) Larson, Verona (Carl) Broman and sister-in-law Mildred Carlson, 28 nieces and nephews and five godchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents, son, Edwin Andrew, brothers, Richard and Walter Carlson and sister-in-laws Mathilda Carlson and Edna Carlson.  Andrew Cornelius Carlson was born July 3, 1916 at Knapp to Frank and Alvina (Peterson) Carlson. Andy was baptized and confirmed at North Crow River Church. He grew up in the Knapp area. Andy married Evelyn Gunderson on September 29, 1944 the ceremony was conducted by Rev. Sand. On October 2, 1948 a son, Edwin Andrew was born. He passed away February 1, 1949 at the age of four months. Andy spent some time in the 1930’s working for the Conservation Corp Camp, He was a farmer all his life. He loved the country life. Andy retired from farming and continued to live on the farm by Granite Lake.  Casketbearers: Brian and Jim Larson, Steve, Ronald, Richard and Larry Carlson.  Music: Orma Lou Jacobsma and Bev Sorensen.
