Anthony “Tony” Wurm, age 53, of Annandale, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Heartland Evangelical Free Church, Annandale, with Pastor Denny Johnson officiating. Private burial will be held at North Corinna Cemetery near Annandale. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, and one hour prior to the service on Friday, both at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Memorials are preferred to Central Minnesota Mental Health Crisis Response or WiggleYourToes.org. Anthony John Wurm was born Sept. 23, 1969, in Buffalo, Minnesota to Robert and Mary (Marquette) Wurm, the youngest of seven children. Tony grew up in Maple Lake, where he graduated from high school with the Class of 1988. On June 15, 2002, Tony was united in marriage to Heidi Lynn Erickson at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. Together they made their home in Annandale, where they raised their daughter, Samantha. For over 30 years, Tony worked for MP Nexlevel in Maple Lake. As a sports and health enthusiast, Tony enjoyed playing baseball with the Maple Lake Lakers, cheering on Samantha during her events, working out, and competing in body building competitions. He also enjoyed the quietness of being by the water, whether fishing or sitting by the lake taking in all the beauty of God’s creation. Tony is survived by his wife of 20 years, Heidi of Annandale; daughter, Samantha of Annandale; parents, Robert and Mary Wurm of Maple Lake; sisters, Jennifer Kilgo and Judy (Todd) Malachek; brothers, Allan, Gordon, and Randy (Theresa) Wurm; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Wurm; and grandparents, Annie and Anthony Wurm, and Esther and Claude Marquette. The casket bearers will be Joe Hofman, Hunter Malachek, Ron Berry, Kevin Scott, and Bart Kilgo. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
