
Edward L. Eastling, age 64, of Cokato, died Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Buffalo Hospital. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, at the Stockholm Community Center in Stockholm Township, Cokato. Burial will follow at Stockholm Cemetery. A reception to celebrate Ed will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Stockholm Community Center, Cokato. Edward Leslie Eastling was born April 4, 1959 in Dassel to Leroy and Nettie (Bonniwell) Eastling. He grew up in Dassel, Howard Lake, and Cokato, graduating with the Class of 1978 from Dassel-Cokato High School. He continued his education at Hutchinson Vocational Technical College for welding. In 1998, Ed started Eastling Welding in Cokato. He was a member of the Wright County Snowmobile Association and the Cokato Ridge Runners. He enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle, working his hobby farm and hanging out with friends. Ed was the kind of man that went out of his way to help anyone that asked. He is survived by the love of his life, Jeannette Eastling; three sons, Gary (Monica) Eastling of Winsted, Scott (Heather) Eastling of Winsted and Jason (Laura) Eastling of Annandale; grandchildren, Amelia, Natalie, James, Olivia, Payton, Henley, Gradyn and Rowan; sisters and brothers, Kathy Block, Lester Eastling, Margaret Eastling, Darrell Eastling and Dorothy Drake; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Eastling; sister, Caroline Peterson; and niece, Kari Block. The urn bearers will be Jim Arlt, Robbin Hillmeyer, Tim Halonen and Jeff Kaczmarek.
