Russel R. Pool, age 43, of Clearwater, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Todd Nelsen officiating.
Private burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and continue until the time of the service. In honor of Russ, attendees are encouraged to wear camouflage, flannel, Minnesota Wild, or other casual attire.
Russel Roger Pool was born Feb. 17, 1980, in Buffalo, Minnesota to Terry and Denise (Dahl) Pool. Russ grew up in Rockford, where he graduated from high school in 1998. He then attended Dunwoody Institute. Russ worked at Medina Electric for a few years before he began working as a carpenter. In 2015, Russ began his own carpentry business, Legends Construction. On August 22, 2020, Russ was united in marriage to Wendy J. Mooney in Nisswa.
Russ was an outdoor enthusiast. He loved fishing, hunting, skiing, tubing, pontooning or simply being in the presence of nature. He was also a devout Minnesota sports fan, especially to the Wild. Russ was always ready to lend a helping hand and bring a smile to those around him. His love for his family was unwavering, and he was their pillar of strength and support. His family will forever treasure the memories of his playful nature, his laughter, his overzealous cheers at their events, and the warmth of his hugs.
Russ is survived by his wife, Wendy Pool; adoring daughters, Ava, Faith, and Shelby Pool; bonus kids, George and Livvy Sylvester; father, Terry Pool; siblings, Mick Pool, Brittany Kramer, Dillon Pool, Shoshanna Carlson, and Grace Pool; grandparents, Harvey and Joyce Dahl and Jo Ann Pool; nephew, Del; and aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Denise; and grandfather, Lauren.
Brent Loney, Kevin Grega, Tom Nordell, Cory Goodell, Mick Pool, and Christie Lewandowski will serve as urn bearers.
