Lyle R. Schoelkoph

Lyle R. Schoelkoph, age 73, of South Haven, formerly of Brooklyn Park, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at his home knowing he was deeply loved.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a ceremony at 11 a.m., and a fellowship following. Pastor Todd Nelsen will officiate at the service.
Lyle Roger Schoelkoph was born Aug. 25, 1950, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Roger and Margie (Bliss) Schoelkoph. Lyle grew up in Danube, along with his siblings. He was a 1968 graduate of Danube High School. Following his graduation, he attended Alexandria Vo-Tech. On June 1, 1974, Lyle was united in marriage to Lila “Liz” Ellies in Arlington, Minnesota. They made their home in Brooklyn Park. Lyle owned and operated Eagle Mouldings in Maple Grove until retiring in 2009. Lyle and Liz remained in Brooklyn Park, until building a home that Lyle designed on Clearwater Lake near Annandale in 2017 on land that they purchased in 1982. Lyle enjoyed fishing, creating stained glass, riding his four-wheeler and lawnmower, boating around Clearwater Lake, and having a good drink with friends.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Liz, of South Haven; brother, Irvin (Deb) of Ames, Iowa; sisters, Verla (Jonathan) Sims of Troy, Ohio, and Lova (James) Parker of Forsyth, Missouri; his beloved dog, Emma Lou; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Margie; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Melvin and Marie Ellies; infant brother, Neal; and sister-in-law, Luanne Pomplun.
