Donna Andrews was born March 9, 1932, Donna grew up in Annandale with her parents Gilbert and Helen Andrews, and siblings Darrell, Lylah (Ledford) and Carole (Hausken). Donna graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1950.
She fell in love with the “scrawny” underclassman David Jarl and the two were married in 1956. The family moved to Kendallville, Indiana, for a few short years, then made their way back to Minnesota, settling in Brooklyn Center.
Raising her family and living in Brooklyn Center for 55 years, Donna was very involved in church, community, and school activities.

With her beautiful soprano voice, she performed in her high school musicals, at weddings, funerals and various other occasions throughout her many years. Her family will fondly remember her last solo of “O Holy Night” as they gathered for Christmas this past December.
A celebration of Donna’s life is planned for Thursday, April 11, at Hope Lutheran Church, 5200 Emerson Ave N, Minneapolis. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a church service at 12 noon.
Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimers Association, Hope Lutheran Church, or a charity of the donor choice.
