Linda G. Knute, age 76, of Annandale, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale with Rev. Ken Tatkenhorst officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials are preferred to United Cerebral Palsy or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Linda Gail Rice was born on Sept. 16, 1947, in St. Cloud to Raymond and Irene (Kammer) Rice. She grew up in Annandale where she was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church and graduated with the Class of 1965 from Annandale High School. Linda moved to California for 27 years, before moving back to Annandale in 2002. While in California, she worked as the office manager for Idea Man in Santa Ana. On April 14, 2002, Linda was united in marriage to Ellis Knute at Faith Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach, California.
Linda enjoyed the solace of crocheting, having made blankets for many family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, especially books that enriched her faith. Most of all, she loved to spend time with family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Ellis; son, Barry (Luci) Nilson of Mission Viejo, California; daughter, Jackie (Jake) Green of Chino Valley, Arizona; step children, Todd Knute of Becker, David (Val) Knute of Monticello, and Terrie (Kirk) Karg of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Jason Nance, Jordyn Bennett, Jenna Nilson, James Green, Jake Nilson, and Henry Nilson; 13 step grandchildren; 21 step great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Michael) Yanish of Annandale; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The urn bearers will be Jason Nance, Jordyn Bennett, Jenna Nilson, Christian Knute, Michael Knute, and Matt Knute.
