Barbara Lee Jean O’Reilley passed away on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Jan. 20, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Barbara Lee Jean was born on Oct. 10, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Paul (Bud) and Delores Raustadt, and grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Barbara Lee met a handsome young man by the name of Jim O’Reilley at a local sock hop, and they united in marriage on June 23, 1962. They spent their early married years in Eden Prairie, raising their two young children, Paul and Jodi, and in 1972, they moved the family to Annandale.
Dance was Barbara Lee’s passion. She started dancing at the age of 3 and opened her first dance studio in 1963. Once moving to Annandale, she taught dance for many years, to many students in Annandale and the surrounding communities. Barbara Lee touched so many lives and was a wonderful mentor to so many people.
Barbara Lee’s other passion was her family and grandchildren. She just loved being a grandma and her grandkids just loved her!
She is survived by her husband, Jim, son, Paul (Lisa), daughter, Jodi, grandchildren, Morgan, Cody, brother, Dan, and was preceded in death by her parents, Bud, and Del.
