
Dale M. Perkins, 80, of Clear Lake died peacefully on March 19, 2025, at Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Becker Christian Center, rural Becker, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Dale Millard Perkins was born in Downey, California, to Orville and Thetis (Faucette) Perkins on June 26, 1944. Dale graduated from Earl Warren High School in Downey, and his interest in technology led him to earn an Associate’s Degree in computer programming. A dedicated professional, Dale enjoyed his career as a computer programmer, drawing upon his innate curiosity and meticulous nature to bring innovative ideas to life. His keen mind and quick wit brought laughter and joy to those around him.
Dale proudly served his nation in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he worked primarily as a B-52 mechanic in Okinawa.
On October 24, 1981, Dale was united in marriage to Sandra Benson at Westwood Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park. They were actively involved in church, having been former members of Becker Christian Center and currently attending Shed Church in Clear Lake. Dale also helped at Jubilee Christian School with their computer systems.
Dale will be remembered for his quiet nature, loyalty, and the love he shared with others. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. While we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, we also celebrate the life he lived–one dedicated to service, family, and community. Dale’s quiet demeanor, quick wit, and joyful spirit will continue to reside in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love he so generously shared.
Dale is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Christina (Jeremy) Alman of South Haven; grandson, Jordan Alman; sister, Nancy Pettey; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda, Dale, and Daryl Benson, Patricia Nimerfroh, and Patricia Juntunen; grand-dogs, Molly and Marshall; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville Perkins and Thetis Maron; sister-in-law, Mary Benson; and brother-in-law, Rob Juntunen.
