LouAnn Ione Laney, age 91, of Annandale passed away February 7, 2026, at the Annandale Care Center under the care of Moments Hospice.
LouAnn was born October 11, 1934, to Dell and Clara (Roeske) Buchanan in Oak Valley Township, Ottertail County, Minn.
LouAnn married Lyndon Laney December 19, 1954. Together they raised four sons on a farm near Annandale. LouAnn worked on their farm and also at Marv’s Red Owl and Perry’s Jack and Jill in the produce departments. Lyndon and LouAnn started L3 Machining, where she did the bookkeeping and cleaning. LouAnn was a lifelong member of the French Lake Sunshine Club.
LouAnn is survived by her four sons, Rusty (Jilene) of Pillager, Minn., Tim (Pam) of Lake View, Iowa, Oscar (Laurie) of South Haven, Minn., and Donald (Joddi) of Buffalo, Minn.; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyndon, brothers, Bert, Dean, Gary and Glen, sisters, Ardelle and Lynette, and grandson, Ryan Laney.
A celebration of LouAnn’s life is being planned at a later date.
