Dorothy A. Stuve

Dorothy Ann (Steinhaus) Stuve, 84, of Fair Haven passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Polidori Hospice House in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fair Haven with Pastor Timothy Nerud officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Rollin Stuve of Fair Haven; children, Wanda Miller of Watkins, Sheila Stuve of Fair Haven, Launa (Mike) Rudolph of South Haven and Guy (Denise) Stuve of Fair Haven; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild (soon to be two); brothers, Jim Steinhaus and Robert Steinhaus; and brother-in-law, Howard Schmidt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Sophia Steinhaus; sister, Lola Schmidt; and son-in-law, Gordy Miller.

Dorothy Ann (Steinhaus) Stuve was born July 9, 1932, in Three Lakes Township to Wilbert and Sophia (Reetz) Steinhaus. She grew up in Morton and attended school there. On Feb. 10, 1952, Dorothy was united in marriage to Rollin Stuve at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fair Haven. They had recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Dorothy was a homemaker, an excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed her family, holidays, traveling, riding motorcycle and snowmobiling. Dorothy and Rollin spent winters with their friends in Parker, Arizona, for 15 years.
