Cardinals headed to state

The Annandale Cardinals are headed to the state tournament after a 21-7 victory against Zimmerman Friday, Nov. 4, at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud.

The Cardinals move on to play Friday, Nov. 11, at Chisago Lakes.

It’s the first time in school history that the team has advanced to the state tournament.

The Cards broke a 7-all tie at half early in the fourth quarter to lead 14-7. After a Zimmerman turnover, they iced the game 1:09 remaining when John Kalthoff scored.
