Hamline senior Chris Yotter placed ninth on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the NCAA Central Regional held in Northfield. Yotter and the men’s cross country team will make a return trip to the NCAA Division III Championships Saturday, Nov. 18, at Wilmington College, Ohio. The Pipers took first in the meet with 76 points. Yotter ran 25:04 for the 8-kilometer course, averaging 5:13 a mile. Even the eight inches of snow that fell in Northfield on Thursday night and Friday morning could not slow the Pipers down as Yotter and three other Pipers earned All-Region honors. Travis Bristow led Hamline with a second-place finish. A 2003 Annandale High School graduate, Yotter is the son of Bruce and Susan. Earlier this month, Yotter earned all-MIAC honors by finishing third at the MIAC championships. In that meet he ran 26:13, just 12 seconds behind Bristow.
