Delano overtakes Cardinals

The Delano Tigers overtook the Annandale Cardinals in the second half to remain undefeated in the Wright County Conference with a 27-10 on Friday evening, Oct. 14, at Annandale.  The Cardinals led twice in the first half and had opportunities to overtake the No. 2 Tigers in the second half, but two unanswered touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters were enough to make the difference.  Annandale’s Sam Marsnik threw for 190 yards as the Cards confused the Tigers much of the night with their air game. Marsnik scored the only TD, and Alex Bronder booted a field goal.  Annandale is 3-3 in the WCC and will wrap up its regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Glencoe-Silver Lake. The Panthers are 4-2 in the conference.  See next week’s Advocate for more on the game.
