Norwood-Young America (Game One)

The Cardinals softball team was locked in 9-9 tie with the Norwood-Young America Raiders heading into the bottom of the sixth inning.

Then, the team leaned into what has lifted it during its recent winning streak– its offense. It didn’t let the team down. Sparked by a Makayla Jenniges RBI double, the Cardinals took the lead for good, capping the inning when a couple runners scored on wild pitches to take a 13-9 lead into the seventh. The team made this lead stick in a 13-9 win in game one of a home doubleheader on April 29.
