Eight Annandale Cardinal track and field student-athletes–covering nine events– represented the program at the Class AA Track and Field State Championships from St. Michael-Albertville High School, June 11 and 12, some for the final time as Cardinals.
One individual came with a pair of state medals and spots on the state tournament podium, in Sal Wirth. He defended his state title from last season in the 3,200-meter run and also earned a podium finish in the 1,600-meter run.
