The Cardinal football team finished the 2023 regular season with an 8-0 record and earned the Brass Sub-district of the Skyway District Championship on Wednesday, Oct. 18, defeating the New London-Spicer Wildcats at New London-Spicer High School.
The Cardinals got off to a slow start in the game, going scoreless in the first half, but turned things around in the second half, scoring 14 points in the third period and 15 in the fourth. The Cards defeated the Wildcats 29-19. The Cardinals never trailed in a game in the previous seven games this season.
