South Haven Firefighter Allen A. Fischer, age 61, died Jan. 10, at his home. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation classified his death as a Line of Duty Death. Gov. Walz ordered flags in Minnesota at half-staff on Monday, Jan. 31, in honor of Firefighter Fischer.
